We reimagined a historic 1920s kitchen utilizing design cues from the elevated traditional design language of the original home. The existing kitchen was small and disjointed, with a pantry and unconditioned mudroom taking up needed floor space.The redesign included fine stain-grade and painted cabinetry, ample storage and open display, broad surfaces for working, and areas to gather. Spaces were rearranged in a fresh layout, with the mudroom program relocated to a small addition off the kitchen.
